Caught on video: Officers open fire on the wrong dog, at the wrong home

Police arrived to arrest a man in Brooklyn, unfortunately they were in the wrong place to arrest that man and almost murdered a family dog and a group of unarmed neighbors in the process. The event was caught on camera, and shows a horrifying eye-witness account of an officer shooting point blank at a neighbor’s dog that was not exhibiting any sign of aggression. That eyewitness video of the police is now going viral.

Apparently a neighbor’s dog got out among all the commotion taking place as numerous police officers (and a large group of neighbors) were all gathering in the street and yards in response to the attempted arrest. When the dog (very apparently) playfully approached the officers, without any hesitation or consideration of the crowd of neighbors which included children- one officer immediately drew his gun and fired point blank range at the unsuspecting pup. Fortunately, even at such a close proximity the officer miraculously missed his intended target although the bullet hit the sidewalk and ricocheted nearly hitting an unarmed onlooker.

ABC7 reported the following commentary from the outraged, appalled, and obviously very shocked crowd.

“No, no you wrong. You wrong. You’re dead *expletive* wrong for that,” a person in the crowd said.

“It didn’t’ dawn on me it was a gun…you almost shot me,” said Jason Holley, an eyewitness.

“Are you serious? There are kids out here,” a witness said.

“You’re at the wrong house,” another person yelled.

The dog escaped a near brush with death, and police managed to arrest an outraged person inside the home for disorderly conduct.
